Edisto Beach is currently under a Tropical Storm Watch, while waters out to 20 nautical miles are under a Tropical Storm Warning. The primary risks at this time are high rip currents and hazardous marine conditions.
There is a 20–30% chance of tropical storm-force winds (sustained winds ≥ 39 mph) for Edisto Beach, with the most likely arrival window between 8:00 PM tonight and 2:00 AM Sunday.
Residents and visitors are urged to:
Stay aware of changing weather conditions
Secure outdoor items that could become airborne in strong winds
Exercise caution near the water, as rip currents remain at a high risk level
