  • Town Hall and Town Council Meeting/August 8

    Please note: Town Hall will re-open for business on Thursday, August 8, at 8:00 a.m. The scheduled Town Council Regular Monthly Meeting will go on as planned for Thursday, August 8, at 6:00 p.m. Thank you.
  • Causeway Status

    Dominion Energy will begin repairing utility poles along the causeway, which may necessitate a temporary closure. This work is scheduled to begin between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM today, August 6th.
  • DANGEROUS CONDITIONS/Stay Off Roads

    Please stay off the roads, including Palmetto Boulevard, Jungle Road, and the causeway area. Dangerous situation due to downed wires and trees. Please stay safe and stay off the roads. Stay alert for continued tornado warnings and other weather-related information from local news and the National Weather Service.
  • Trash Collection / Yard Debris Schedule

    Charleston County landfills will be closed on Tuesday, August 6th, and Wednesday, August 7th. Yard debris collection, originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 6th, will be rescheduled to Thursday, August 8th. Additionally, Friday's trash collection has been canceled, and regular trash collection services will resume on Monday, August 12th.
  • Tropical Storm Debby Update - 8/04/24

    State of Emergency Declaration A State of Emergency has been declared for South Carolina in response to Tropical Storm Debby. Primary Threat The most significant threat posed by the storm is extreme rainfall and flooding, with predictions of 20-30 inches by this Friday. Additionally, a storm surge of 2-4 feet is expected.
