  • Interior Lagoon Study Progress - Presentation Update

    PowerPoint presentation can be viewed HERE. Presentation slides with notes can be viewed HERE. The Town contracted with Davis & Floyd to conduct an interior lagoon study on Edisto Beach to identify potential solutions for addressing both rainfall and tidal flooding. The interior lagoon system runs parallel between Palmetto Boulevard and Jungle Road.....
  • Storm Updates (1/9/24, 6pm)

    Dominion Energy is currently working on powerlines on Palmetto Boulevard to restore power to the portions of the beach who do not have power. Please avoid travel this evening if possible as standing water and debris are present on roadways.
  • Town Hall Closing, January 9, 2024, 12:00 noon

    Due to the severe weather forecast, Town Offices will close at noon today. Normal operations will resume Wednesday, January 10, 2024. The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning with 30-40 mph sustained winds with gusts of 50-60 mph. There is also an elevated risk of tornadoes this afternoon into the evening.   • Town Council Work Session Rescheduled to Wed., January 10, 10:00 a.m.

    Due to the anticipated storm event predicted for Tuesday, January 9, 2024, the Town Council Work Session will be rescheduled to Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The Regular Monthly Meeting of Town Council will take place as scheduled on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. A weather update will be shared later today.

  • Post-Storm Utility System Status

    The Town can confirm the sewer system remained operational and there was no leakage as a result of the storm this past Sunday (12/17/23).
  • UPDATE: Closed Streets

    Please be aware of the following: - due to water being pumped at Ocean Ridge, Docksite Road is closed from the Scott Creek Drive entrance to the Wyndham front entrance - Palmetto Blvd. is closed from the EnMarket to the 800 block as DOT is working to remove sand and debris.   • Flooding Update

    The north end of Palmetto Boulevard remains closed while SCDOT continues to remove sand and debris. Portions of Docksite Road, Yacht Club Road, and several other side streets remain covered with water and are impassible. Ocean Ridge has several areas that remain underwater and the property owner's association plans to have two large pumps delivered.....
