Town Hall and all administrative offices will be closed in observance of the holiday. Normal business hours resume the next business day.

1. Where is Town Hall?
Town Hall is located at 2414 Murray Street. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday -Friday except when closed for holidays listed on the calendar.

2. Are pets allowed on the beach?
Yes. Pets must be on a leash from May 1 through October 31; otherwise pets must be under owner control.
3. What day is trash collected?
The Town uses a vendor for residential curbside garbage collection. Residents may call Republic Services at (800) 521-1797 if problems are not resolved, contact the administrative assistant. Only garbage placed in containers will be picked up. Any garbage placed outside of the container will not be serviced. Yard trash must be containerized or bundled. Contractor cannot place yard trash at the curb. Yard trash placed in front of vacant property will not be picked up.

4. Does Edisto Beach recycle?
Yes, recyclables can be brought to the convenience station during operating hours, which is located at the corner of Holmes and Murray Streets.
5. Can I get married on the beach?
Yes. The Town's beaches are public, but remain in a very natural state and are surrounded by residences. There are no facilities on the beach. Couples interested in a beach wedding can find additional information on this site under visitors-weddings.
6. What is the policy regarding Boats on Edisto Beach?
Town of Edisto Code of Ordinances (Beach Regulations) limits the launching of boats from beaches. No boat or watercraft of any kind can be launched or recovered over the grassy portion of the dunes through use of trailer or cart of any kind. Beach accesses can be used for launching or recovery of sailboats, kayaks, or non motorized craft, but any trailer or cart of any kind used for transport must be removed and not used to transport the craft over the dunes to the water. No motorized boats are permitted on the sandy beach at any time. Sailboats and kayaks can be stored temporarily overnight on the sandy beach, but not the dunes.
South Carolina Code Section 50-21-870 prohibits vessels from being operated in excess of idle speed within 50 feet of a person, dock, pier or anchored vessel and may not be operated in excess of idle speed within 100 yards of Atlantic coast.
