  • Vaccine Clinic/September 14

    Vaccine clinic updated information for Thursday, September 14, 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., at Town Hall. Please bring ID and insurance card. Vaccines offered: -flu quadrivalent for people younger than 65 years old -high dose flu quadrivalent for people over age 65 years old -RSV vaccine for people aged 60 and over -Prevnar 20 (pneumonia) -Moderna.....
  • Notice Regarding Moving Sand on the Beach

    It is illegal to use any equipment to move sand on the beach. Do not move, or authorize any contractors to move, sand onto or from the beach. The Town plans to do some minor sand scraping in the coming weeks to address some of the eroded sand dunes. This process is being permitted through SCDHEC-OCRM.   • Sand fencing permit application

    The Town of Edisto Beach has reapplied to the SCDHEC-OCRM for its annual General Permit to repair and replace sand fencing at the public beach along the Atlantic Ocean in Edisto Beach, Colleton County. Comments on this application must be submitted to OCRM at: 1362 McMillan Avenue, Suite 400, Charleston, SC 29405 by September 23, 2023.
  • Post Storm Update

    The Town is working on the following post storm items. We will continue to assess and plan as necessary, and we will keep our residents updated as we have additional information to share. The Town is arranging additional yard waste collections to assist in removing the debris in a timely manner. We are working with Republic Services to schedule.....
  • Ocean Ridge Flooding Update

    Portions of Ocean Ridge, including Gun Bluff, Battery Park, and Rice Lane remain flooded while water is being pumped from the lagoon across Dock Site Road. Ocean Ridge is mobilizing two large pumps this morning to lower the flood levels. The DOT pipe which runs underneath Docksite Road is damaged and in need of repair. The Town is also utilizing.....

    Household garbage will be collected on Tuesday September 5, 2023 Yard waste will be collected on Wednesday Sept 6, 2023 2nd household garbage collection is Saturday September 9, 2023 Thank you
  • Hurricane Idalia/Message #5

    Town officials are assessing damage from Idalia, but it appears we have experienced little damage from the storm impacts. We ask that people avoid the following areas of Palmetto Boulevard as clean-up work is in progress: the area around the Pavilion for sand and debris clean-up; and 100-600 blocks for debris clean-up. DOT and Colleton County crews.....
  • Power Outage Status

    Dominion Energy is aware of and is actively working a downed power line that feeds Edisto Beach to hopefully restore power soon. This is anticipated to be a multi-hour-long outage.
  • Hurricane Idalia/Message #4

    Hurricane Idalia has made landfall in Florida as a Category 3. Please be aware Edisto Beach is under a Hurricane Warning and a Storm Surge Warning. The models indicate Idalia will pass over our area, with the storm’s intensity expected between Wednesday at 6 p.m. to Thursday at 3 a.m. Anticipate high winds, flooding, storm surge, downed trees.....
